Yes — an SSD upgrade is one of the best investments you can make in an older PC. Boot times drop from 60+ seconds to under 10. Programs open instantly. Your whole machine feels faster without touching anything else.
How much does it cost?
A 1TB NVMe SSD runs about $80 new right now. We can clone your existing drive so you don’t lose any files or reinstall Windows, and install the new drive during a repair appointment. Total cost is typically $80–$130 depending on your machine.
Will it work on my laptop?
Most laptops built after 2015 support at least a SATA SSD, and many support the faster NVMe standard. The one exception: some budget laptops have the storage soldered to the motherboard and can’t be upgraded. We check compatibility before we quote anything.
What about my data?
We clone the drive — everything stays exactly where it was. Your files, programs, settings, and Windows installation transfer over. Nothing gets wiped. If you’re in North Georgia, book a diagnostic and we’ll tell you exactly what your machine supports and what it’ll cost.
