Warranty & build policy

The promise behind every build

When we hand you a machine, we stand behind the work. Here's exactly what that means — what's covered, for how long, and how the whole build comes together — in plain language, with nothing buried in fine print.

What every build includes

No matter the tier or the budget, every computer we build leaves the shop the same way.

  • A 1-year workmanship warranty from Howard Resource Group, covering the assembly itself — cabling, seating, mounting, and anything that's a result of how we built it.
  • Genuine Windows 11 Pro, activated and updated, with no bloatware and no trial junk.
  • A full stress-test and burn-in before it ships — CPU, GPU, memory, and storage all run under load so problems surface here, not at your desk.
  • Clean cable management and updated firmware, plus a spec sheet listing every component in your machine.

Your 1-year workmanship warranty

For a full year after you receive your build, if something goes wrong because of how we assembled it, we make it right — diagnosis and labor on us.

Covered

  • Assembly and workmanship faults — a loose connection, a poorly seated part, a mounting or cabling issue.
  • Diagnosing a hardware problem and, where it's our workmanship, fixing it at no charge.
  • Help filing a manufacturer claim on any part that fails — we handle the back-and-forth for you.

Not covered

  • Accidental damage, drops, spills, power surges, or anything that happens after it leaves us.
  • Software you install, operating-system changes, or malware picked up online.
  • Normal wear, or upgrades and part swaps done by someone other than us.

Every part keeps its manufacturer warranty

The components inside your build carry their own manufacturer coverage on top of ours — and those often run far longer than a year. Graphics cards, power supplies, and storage in particular tend to carry multi-year warranties straight from the maker.

  • Typical coverage runs from 2 to 5 years depending on the part and brand — SSDs and power supplies are often the longest.
  • If a part fails within its manufacturer window, we help you file the claim and get it replaced, even after our own year is up.
  • Your spec sheet lists exactly what's in your machine, so registering or claiming a part is straightforward.

If a part arrives dead

Once in a while a brand-new component is faulty out of the box. It's rare, and it's on us to sort out.

  • If a part fails in the first 30 days, we replace it and cover the labor — you're not chasing a manufacturer during that window, we are.
  • We catch most of these during burn-in before your machine ever ships, which is the whole point of testing every build under load.

Want coverage past year one?

You can add an extended labor warranty that carries our workmanship coverage through years two and three. It's an optional add-on — offered up front when you get your quote, never tacked on later — and it keeps our diagnosis-and-labor promise going well past the first year while your parts stay under their own manufacturer warranties.

Bringing your own parts

If you've already bought components, or bought them elsewhere, we're glad to assemble them for you at our flat build-labor rate. A couple of honest notes so there are no surprises:

  • Parts you supply carry only their own manufacturer warranty — our workmanship warranty covers the assembly, but we can't warranty hardware we didn't source.
  • We still stress-test and set up the machine the same way we do our own builds, so you know it works before you take it home.
  • If something you brought is incompatible or unsafe to run, we'll tell you honestly and help you find the right part rather than build something we wouldn't stand behind.

How pricing and the build process work

One finished machine, one honest price, agreed before we build anything.

  • We design your build around how you actually use a computer and quote it as a complete system — the hardware, the assembly, the testing, and Windows, all in one price.
  • You approve the full specification and the price before a single part is ordered. No surprise charges, ever.
  • Add-ons like data migration, on-site setup, or an extended warranty are always optional and always priced up front.
  • Most builds are ready within a week or two once parts are in hand; anything that'll take longer, we tell you at quote time.

Shipping and pickup

Local to North Georgia, you're welcome to pick your machine up in Dawsonville. Anywhere else in the country, we pack it properly and ship it insured.

  • Builds are double-boxed with the GPU and cooler secured for transit, and shipped with tracking and insurance.
  • If a build is ever damaged in shipping, keep the packaging and reach out right away — we'll handle the carrier claim and get you sorted.
